Keifer Alan Russell, 30, of Casper, Wyoming was set free on March 23, 2018 at Wyoming Medical Center surrounded by his close family. Keifer was a gentle soul who was too good for this world and will be sorely missed. He had the genuine ability to make everyone he crossed paths with feel special and loved. Keifer grew up in Casper where he spent his childhood camping, hunting, fishing, and playing baseball. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 2006 and went on to earn two associate's degrees from Casper College and a bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming. From there he found his calling in sustainable organic farming. He spent one season on an organic farm in London, Ohio and a second near Chestertown, Maryland. He then moved back home to Casper where he continued with his enthusiasm for farming. Keifer's passions included being outside, gardening, being active, family, friends, and music. Nutrition was very important to him and he loved sharing his knowledge and experience with whoever wanted to learn. Many memories were made with his father, Scott, in their garden they had together for multiple seasons. He made weekly outings to Natural Grocers with his mother, Tonda, where he continued to support his nutrition and organic farming beliefs. His sister and infinite best friend, Andi, has many fond memories of Keifer and he frequently said that he always looked up to his "Big Little Sister." Keifer was very proud to be an uncle to his two nieces, Emma and Chandler, whom he loved greatly and he cherished their time together. He is survived by his loving family and many wonderful friends. He was admired by many people for the person he was. Keifer wasn't afraid to follow his heart to live life how he thought was right in order to leave a positive footprint in this world. A gathering of music and memories will be held for Keifer on April 7, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 at the Paradise Valley Country Club, 70 Magnolia Street Casper, Wyoming. A memorial fund has been established on Keifer's behalf. Cash or check is accepted at any Wells Fargo branch. Please make checks payable to the Keifer Russell Memorial Fund.
