Kaye Burton

Casper- Kaye S. Burton, 77, passed away Saturday October 13th, 2018 at Shepherd of the Valley in Casper surrounded by her family. Kaye was born in American Fork, Utah on February 2nd, 1941 to Mandell Simpson and LaVee (Hunter) Simpson. She was later blessed with a little sister and life time best friend, Terri (Simpson) Burdette who she adored with all her heart. Kaye attended Granite High School where she met the love of her life, Darrell. The two were later married in 1960 at the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1967, Darrell and Kaye moved to Casper where they raised their three children and became longtime residents. Kaye worked as an administrative assistant for a local dental office before her well-earned retirement. Kaye was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, and friend to all who knew her. Kaye enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow and loved to watch them play a variety of sports. She never missed a game, concert, or awards assembly. She was their favorite cheerleader who was always in the stands supporting them. She adored her grandchildren; they were her life. Kaye was later blessed with two great-grandchildren who kept her young at heart. She loved to play and spoil them any chance she got. Kaye was preceded in death by her loving husband Darrell Burton, her parents Mandell Simpson and LaVee (Hunter) Simpson, brother-in-law Michael Burdette, and son-in-law Richard Logan. Kaye is survived by her two sons David Burton and Steven Burton; her daughter Cynthia (Burton) Logan; her granddaughters Shaelynn Palmer (Courtney) and Brianna Sonsoucie (Tyler Thies); grandson Devin Burton; great-grandchildren Hannah, Ryann, Gage, and Carter Palmer and Nick and Riley Thies; many nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and countless close friends. A viewing will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home on Thursday October 18th, 2018, 6:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 3931 W. 45th St. on October 19th, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Reception to immediately follow.
