Katie Kiser

Katie Reeves (Puckett) Kiser age 95 of Casper formerly of Kingsport, TN passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 5 at Life Care Center of Casper with her family and friends by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome Kiser, her parents Taylor and Nannie Davis Puckett, 8 brothers and sisters: Ruth Terry, Peggy Gilliam , Bob Puckett, Lester Puckett, Charles "Shorty" Puckett, Earl Puckett and Harold Puckett. Katie Kiser is survived by her five children: Doug and Mary Kiser of Casper; Don and JoAnn Kiser of Crossville, TN Jim and Joyce Kiser of Yuma, AZ. Katie has 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Katie was born on July 20, 1917 in Lebanon, Virginia. In her 95 years of life she had lived in Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, Arizona, and Wyoming. She was a telephone operator in Kingsport, TN. Katie was an active member of the local Kingdom Hall. She loved to travel and visit her family, was fond of birds, she was an outstanding cook and loved to care for her loved ones. She was the eldest out of eight siblings and survived them all. Katie was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Katie held her head high with dignity, had high morals and values. She demonstrated those traits daily and has left a family legacy. She will be terribly missed but will remain deep in our hearts. A special thank you to Life Care Center and their dedicated staff for taking exceptionally good care of Katie these past few years.
