Kathryn Deason

Kathryn (Kathy) Ann Deason, 81, of Alcova, Wyoming passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Private interment service will be held for the family at Highland Cemetery. Kathy Donnelly was born in Mitchell, Nebraska on February 24, 1933 to Arthur and Blanche Donnelly. Following her father's death, the family moved to Casper, Wyoming where her mother later married Theodore Thompson.. Kathy graduated from Natrona County High School in 1951.That same year she married William Malloy. They later divorced but were blessed with six children during their time together. In 1968 Kathy married Clarence Deason who brought four children to the family. Besides the family activities, they enjoyed camping, fishing and loved their trips to Las Vegas! In 1991, Kathy lost the love of her life. Kathy enjoyed reading, crafting, and entertaining. Kathy decided the winters in Wyoming were just too cold for her. She became a snow bird spending winters in Yuma, Arizona and summers at Alcova Lake. It was a common site to see her sitting on her deck at Alcova Lake drinking coffee or other beverages with her family and friends. Kathy is survived by children: Michelle Malloy of Fort Collins, Colorado; Kathy Hill and Patrick Malloy of Casper; Tom (Tammy) Malloy of Tulare, California; Tom (Sue) Deason, Laurie (Dan) Joseph of Phoenix, Arizona; Patty O'Herra, of Casper; brothers Art (Billie)Donnelly of Topeka, Kansas; Ted (Dar) Thompson of Casper; Jerry (Sally) Thompson of Moline, Illinois; grandchildren Stephanie, Brittany, Kayleigh, Jimmy, Tommy, Blake, Dustin, Tyler, Cody, Amy, Christopher, Molly, Amber, Terex. Nicholas, Eric, Joe and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Mickey and Tom Thompson; husband Clarence Deason; children Bobby Malloy, Leslie Malloy, and Mike Deason. Memorial donations may be given to the Child Development Center in Casper or to the charity of your choice.
