Kathrine O'Keefe

Kathy O'Keefe, 52, passed away peacefully at the Wyoming Medical Center on September 25, 2014 after a prolonged illness. Kathy was born in Casper, Wyoming on February 18, 1962 at the Wyoming Medical Center to parents Steven and Ruthie Propp. She grew up in Casper attending Southridge, Crest Hill, CY Junior High and Natrona County High School, making many lifelong friends. In 1983, Kathy obtained her cosmetology license and her family enjoyed many benefits from her talents. Kathy moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1985 where she worked as an office manager for a Scottsdale accounting firm. Kathy married Mark Baroody in 1987, and later worked in the successful flooring business they established. In 1989, they were blessed with a son, Chad Michael. In 1998, Kathy and Chad returned to Casper. Kathy worked as an office manager at the Casper Clinic for Roger Fuhrman until her health declined. She married William O'Keefe in 2009. Kathy enjoyed fishing, reading, and was always working on a jigsaw puzzle. She was an avid sports fan and followed her favorite teams. Kathy had many hobbies and talents, but she especially loved holidays and activities with her family. During her short life she had six dogs that she adored; Tippy, Nena, Puffer, Brandy, Lilly and Sami. Kathy is remembered for being kind hearted, generous and fun loving. She had an extraordinary sense of humor and had a special gift for lifting the spirits of others. She will be sadly missed by her family, which includes her parents, Steve & Ruthie Propp (Casper), son, Chad Michael (Evanston), sister, Kelly Welker (Phoenix, AR) brother, Michael Propp (Wendover, NV), nephews, Ryan, Mikie and Preston, and niece, Mikayla, Uncle and Aunt, Pat and Karen Hagood (Los Angeles, CA), Uncle Perry Propp (Casper), Aunt Donna Rumsey (North Carolina), Aunt Georgia Hagar (Glenrock), wonderful loving cousins, a large extended family and many special friends. Kathrine was preceded in death by her beloved Grandmother, Rachel Propp and will be laid to rest by her side at Highland Cemetery. A memorial and celebration of Kathrine's life will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Highland Park Church at 11 o'clock.
