Kathleen E. Hallock Payne Born June 22, 1927 Died May 15, 2018 Kathleen Esther Hallock, Leslie, Payne was born in Mills, WY June 22 1927. Kathleen grew up on Poplar St of Casper WY. Kathleen eventually moved to Lander WY in the early sixties. She worked and retired from Wyoming State Training School after Twenty-five years of being a Nurses' Aid. Kathleen touched many lives always so caring and loving. She was the Adopted Grandma to many Children in Lander WY, as well in Casper WY. Always there for all of them with hugs and kisses. She tried to instill Love and Understanding, and Respect and be a person of your word. If you were ever had, that talk she was the first to tell you to get off the pity party and get your life back on track. Always telling you, she loved you and would always be there for you. Kathleen loved all her Grandkids, Nephews &Nieces with all her Heart and there was nothing she would not do to help you. If ever you needed her, she was always there holding your hand. Telling you, she loved you and a hugs. She was the Grandma that always gave her un-divided attention to her Grandkids, and adopted Grandkids. Playing with them, swimming, sledding, and riding the carnival rides. She taught us to Love and be understanding and to work hard. Kathleen was a breast cancer survivor of 24 years. In 2008, she had a stroke and got misdiagnosed and in 2009, we were forced to put her into the Nursing Home, shortly after she shattered her hip and had a heart attack two days later. We never gave up on her. She had strong family ties and knew we all needed her. Her Doctor said she just like the Energizer Bunny. Don't count her out. God gave her back her mind. One day she ask me who am I. She said what my name is. She said people are calling me Kathleen Payne, Mom, Mama, Mother, Granny Chick, Gram, Grandma Payne, Sis, Aunt Kate, I told her she was every one of those names. She was an amazing Woman. Kathleen never had too many hobbies as always taking care of someone that needed her. Her family, friends, and Best Friend Ileen Miller of Lander WY. Were her whole life. She loved to go dancing when she got the chance, and play bingo, embroidering when she was younger and playing cards. She was the best Mom and Grandma and best friend you could ever have. Her final resting place will be by her Dad at Highland Cemetery. She will missed by all. Kathleen is proceded in death by her Parent's Leo Calvin Hallock Sr, & Mary Hallock. Brothers' & Sisters' Charlotte Mary Jaikowski, Hare, Margaret Hallock, Paul George Hallock, & Leo Calvin Hallock Jr. Son David Joseph Payne. Nephew Jon David Hallock. Daughter Susan Leslie/Short survives Kathleen. Grand Daughter's Heidi Short, Tammie Burch, Tabitha Johnson & Tajia Cleveland. Grandson's Colby Payne & Silas Cleveland. Great Granddaughter Brittney Johnson. Great-Great Granddaughter's Alexia Cleveland. & Sophia Anderson. Four Nephews & eight Great Nephews & seven Great Great Nephews nine Great Great Great Nephews, seven Great Nieces. & one Great Great Niece. Celebration of Life July 8, 2018 @ 1:00 pm.
