Casper- Funeral services for Kathleen Haley Boss, 52, will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Friday, October 13, 2017 at Boyd Avenue Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Quin Williams. Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 12, at Bustard's Funeral Home. Kate passed away October 8, 2017 at the Wyoming Medical Center after a catastrophic brain aneurysm. Unexpected, sudden, and unknown, she not only had a life she loved- she had a banner day filled with the very things she cherished; the love of her life and the love of a lifetime, family, her baby dogs, and cycling. Kate was born May 12, 1965 in Casper, WY to Frank Martin and Mary Jo Sannes. She grew up in Casper, graduating from Natrona County High School and the University of Wyoming. In 1986 she received her Bachelor's degree in Education. Coming from a family of educators, her passion for teaching, helping, and the betterment of others was a defining characteristic of her life. Indescribable passion for her family and loved ones was a defining characteristic as well. At the time of her death Kate was focused on her unwavering devotion to her family; providing full time care for her aging father and tending to the needs of her family. She loved being a part of the work world but sacrificed her own ambitions to those things that truly mattered most to her, family. In 1984 Kate met and fell in love with Lonnie Ray Boss; a young man with an unimaginably steadfast and solid heart. As much as he was her world, she was unequivocally his. The love they shared was not just theirs. Kathleen gave birth to their only child, Megan Kathleen, in 1984. They loved Megan with their heart and soul. Her husband, their daughter, and their dogs formed the core of Kate's world. The family unit, the home and life they built together fostered the greatest joys for Kate. She treasured and cherished those things that mattered most. How we live life and the effect we may have on another life. Her generosity knew no bounds. She was always loving to others, had a heart so fiercely forgiving, incapable of judgement upon others. She lived simply. She found joy in every moment. She made every day great, every holiday wonderful. She treasured relationships. Spending time with her father was something she just couldn't live a day without. Her siblings enriched her life. Through one of her sisters she discovered an unbridled passion for cycling. As she lived life, always off the seat, pumping away. Her ready smile, her quirky sense of humor and her generous heart has brought love and joy to so many people. There are not enough words, nor enough space, nor enough time to justly describe the just plain good-hearted individual Kathleen was for her time here with us.
