June Bredemeyer

June 28, 1925 — October 1, 2019

The adventure started for June LaVerne Haley in Everett, Washington, on June 28, 1925, as the 3rd child of George Henry Haley and Genevieve Mae Coggins Haley. She was the daughter of a tree topper lumberjack and the cook for the lumber mill. After high school, where she played drums and wrote poetry, she moved to Seattle, Washington where she worked and went to dances with her friends. That is where she met the man she married, a tall and lanky sailor named Charlie Emil Bredemeyer from the great state of Texas. They were married July 25, 1945 in the First Methodist Church in Winters, Texas. She had her first black eyed pea dinner and cried all evening because that is what they fed cattle in Washington. June and Charlie helped her father and mother-in-law run a cafe in Winters,Texas, where they had their first child Cynthia Kay Bredemeyer Tomlinson, Odessa,Texas. Charlie enrolled at McMurry College in Abilene, Texas, where they had their second child Mary Alice Bredemeyer Burgess, Gillette, Wyoming. With their 2 children, they moved to Big Spring, Texas. They had 4 more children Charliene Bredemeyer Wells Casper, Wyoming; Jeana Ann Bredemeyer Sandefer, Bar Nunn, Wyoming; her only son Charlie George Bredemeyer, Odessa, Texas and Ruth Laverne Bredemeyer Renfro, Frederick, Colorado. Oil bit peddlers move, June and her family moved to Brownfield, Texas where they had their last child Verla I'lee Bredemeyer McGuire, Yukon, Oklahoma. In 1966 she moved to Casper, Wyoming and worked for many years at Coliseum Motors. June was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Extension Club, Rebecca Lodge, Good Sam's Club and various bridge, canasta and pinochle clubs. She loved playing cards especially poker with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers, a sister, parents and one grandson. She left 7 children, 3 sons-in-law, 1 daughter-in- law, 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and grand sons and grand daughters in law.
