Julie Sander

May 16, 1944 — July 26, 2023

Julia (Julie) Ann Sander 79 of Casper Wyoming passed away on July 26 in Casper. Julie was born in Panguitch Utah to Francis and Viola Marshall. She was an avid bowler and active leader with the Women’s Bowling Association. She enjoyed vegetable gardening where she shared her harvest with friends and neighbors. She was a passionate canner of fruits and vegetables. She is well known for her apricot jelly and syrup. When she wasn’t bowling or canning, she was busy crocheting and sewing while watching her favorite western classics. After moving to Mountain Plaza Assisted Living, she stayed active with Bingo, sewing and crocheting while caring for her beloved dog, Angel.

Julie is survived by her daughter Carrie (Troy) Dameron, California, stepchildren Marva Jo (Steve) Mooney of Gillette, Cheryl (Tim) Moser of Loveland, CO, Allen Sander of Gillette, Dennis Sander of Gillette, and David Sander of Walden, CO and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Marvin Sander in 2020, daughter Deborah Weant of Cheyenne in 2013, son Mark Sander of Billings MT in 2018, and grandson Zachary Weant of Riverton in 2019.

Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1922 S. Poplar St. Casper, WY on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 10:00 am.

Her daughter, Carrie and niece Marie send a special “shout-out” to the amazing staff at Mountain Plaza. “You made Julie’s final journey a wonderful experience surrounded by love and laughter!” We will be forever grateful for your loving care of both Julie and Angel!
