Judith Ann (Judy) Barr, 79, passed away peacefully at Shepherd of the Valley Care Center on May 19, 2019. Judy was born June 7, 1939 in Kansas City, Ks., where she grew up and graduated from Westport High School in 1957. After a hunting trip to Wyoming, Judy and her husband Mike decided to relocate there in 1974, where they owned and operated a small sporting goods business for over 10 years. Later Judy began a career as a legal secretary, working for several Law firms in the Casper area, eventually retiring in 2002. Judy loved traveling and just being outdoors, but her true passion was quilting. She was very talented at it, winning several blue ribbons at county and state fair competitions. Judy truly enjoyed watching both of her grandsons participate in any type of sports they were involved in. Judy is survived by her son Greg Barr(Cheryl), grandsons; Jarrett and Braden, all from Casper, sister; Barbara Schneider of Independence, Mo., niece; Chris Van Camp(Jason), great nephews Josh and Justin Van Camp all of Lee's Summit, Mo., also Taylor and Michael Marquez of Grain Valley, Mo., uncle; Larry Hammons of Marceline, Mo.. She is preceded in death by her ex-husband Mike Barr, her mother Kathryn Pistillo and stepfather Michael Pistillo, formerly of Kansas City. Judy leaves behind many friends and the helpful staff at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home. The family thanks them for all they have done. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Casper Humane Society in Judy's name. Per Judy's request, we will have a celebration of life on June 13th from 3 - 6 p.m. at Bustards Funeral Home.
