Joyce Krasovetz

September 5, 1936 — May 14, 2019

Joyce Elaine Krasovetz went home to her eternal rest Tuesday May 14, 2019. She died peacefully at Wyoming Medical Center following a stroke. Joyce was born to William and Muriel Giles in Cody, WY, on September 05, 1936. She lived her entire childhood in Cody and graduated high school there. She also lived a number of years in Meeteetsee, working on a ranch with her first husband, Walter Boulware. Joyce loved anything to do with musical theatre, singing, and playing the piano. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed many activities such as motorcycle riding, horseback riding, hunting and hiking. She dabbled at golf and fishing but her greatest love was exploring the countryside looking for rocks, and was a collector from everywhere. Joyce was a long time gardener with a wealth of knowledge about native Wyoming plants. She also loved to paint, photograph wildlife and any type of craft project possible. Throughout her life she had many opportunities to re-invent herself. She worked mostly in the administrative field, where she ran offices in many different genres. Some of those included Husky Oil, architecture firms, a church office and typing/editing book manuscripts for author Harold McCracken in Cody. She was active in the local Girl Scouts, Music Club, and church choir. Joyce met the love of her life, Arthur Krasovetz, when they both worked for the Job Service. They were married in a small service and enjoyed over 30 years of married life. They also shared a love of travel, books, music and outdoors. They were fortunate to be able to travel with the Casper Chorale enjoying many places around the world and their shared love of singing. Joyce is survived by a brother, William Giles of Cody, WY, two children, a son, Scott (Barbara) Boulware of Vista, CA and daughter Sheryl (Michael) Fay of Bar Nunn, WY. She has four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by six stepchildren, Steven Krasovetz, Janice Compton, Gary Krasovetz, Joetta Orr, Jeanne Wilcutt and Dale Krasovetz, their spouses and families. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Muriel Giles, a brother Freddy Giles, and her husband Arthur Krasovetz. Services will be at Oregon Trail Cemetery on Monday May 20, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Bustard's Funeral Directors of Casper, WY.
