Memorial services for Joy Uglow will be held Friday, June 17 at 11AM at the Church of the Holy Family, 4100 SE Wyoming Blvd.with Bishop Kenneth Kinner officiating. Cremation has taken place. There will be a reception at the church following the service. Rosalie Eva (Joy) Uglow, 86, passed away peacefully on Memorial Day, May 30, 2011, at Poplar Living Center. Joy was born November 24, 1924 in Ashland, Wisconsin to Grace and Joseph Bazil. On November 21, 1948 she married Richard L. Uglow in Arizona. They have resided in Casper for over 60 years, with two daughters born to their union. Joy was an active, long term member of the Church of the Holy Family and the Sage Glen Home Extension Club. As a stay at home mom, she provided a loving children's nursery and led Camp Fire Girls. Her joys in life were spending time with her family on the mountain at '1h Heaven', getting ringers playing horseshoes, gardening, cooking, sewing, and playing with her grandchildren. In the past few years, as her health declined, Joy enjoyed visits from friends and family, prayers, and interacting with the staff at Poplar Living Center. Joy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joan Smith. She is survived by her loving husband, Dick, daughters, Mary Jo Daniels (Lee) and Lynn Jordan (Jim); grandchildren, John, Lesa, Brandon, Kandi (Scott), and Chris (Candita),; great grandchildren, Kayberlee, Kinzlee, Brock, Brady, Christopher, Cecilea, and Caitlyn; brother Joseph "Bill" Bazil (Rita); many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of the Holy Family or St. Joseph's Indian School, Chamberlain, SD.
