Joy Hoffman

Joy Janet Hoffman, age 72, passed away January 12, 2017 in Casper, WY. She was born in Olympia, WA on January 14, 1944 to Robert and Betty (Gottfried) Holt. After Robert's passing, Joy and Betty made their home in Casper. Betty married Bruce Penton and, together, they raised Joy. On April 28, 1961 Joy married Jack L. Hoffman. Of that union Amberly Dawn Hoffman and Jack Daniel Hoffman were born. Joy was also blessed with a grandchild, Kristin Wales, and two great grandchildren, Jolie Anne Nicole Wimber and Tyler Ryan Russell. Joy was a homemaker who cherished gardening, cooking, her animals, and family. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at the National Electrical Contractors Association's Casper office. Joy was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kristin. Joy is also survived by her sister, Renee Penton-Jones; brother, Timothy Allan Penton; as well as several nieces, nephews, and their children. A memorial service will be held at the pioneer church at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2PM. Donations to the Casper Humane Society, in Joy's name, would be greatly appreciated by her family.
