Josephine McComb

Josephine Grady McComb, age 80, passed away on July 2, 2018 in Casper, Wyoming. She was born on October 12, 1937 in Savannah, Georgia. Josephine attended Cathedral School and moved to Coral Gables, Florida at the age of 11 and attended St. Theresa School in Coral Gables where she graduated in 1955. After graduation she started working at the phone company where she worked for 31 years. She was the secretary treasurer for the telephone company pioneers from 1986 to 1990. Attended Casper College for 2 years studying agriculture and animal science and was a 4 H leader for pigs and lambs. Josephine served in the United States Marine Reserves for 12 years, served with 105 Howitzer BN and 4 Angelico in MIami, Florida ranking Sargent. In 1969 she married Kenneth McComb and together they raised 4 children;Kenneth McComb Jr. , Sharon Bumgardner ;Robert McComb and Charles McComb. She was CCD at our Lady of Fatima and taught the 5th grade for 3 years. Also she sang in a band at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church. Josephine is survived by her 4 children and 3 siblings, Mary Russo, Imelda Hankins and Edwina Fallon; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth McComb; brother Edward Fallon jr her parents, Edward Fallon and Mary (Knowles) Fallon A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming.
