Memorial services for John J. (Jack) Sullivan will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Fr. August Koeune of St. Patrick's Catholic Church officiating. Cremation has been held under the direction of Bustard's Funeral Home. Mr. Sullivan, 91, passed away on March 28, 2011 at Primrose Retirement Home in Casper. Jack was born on June 18, 1919 on the family ranch in Shirley Basin, Wyoming. Jack married Ruth Matson of Hanna, Wyoming on October 19, 1940 in Rawlins, Wyoming. Jack and Ruth lived on the ranch and had two sons, Martin Lee and Patrick Leander. They all lived and worked on the ranch until its sale in 1981. Jack served as Carbon County Commissioner, was a member of the Wyoming Woolgrowers Association, and the Wyoming Livestock Board. He was active in the Republican Party and many other civic duties. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Cecilia Loretta, his wife, Ruth, his son, Pat and a nephew, Tom Scott. Jack is survived by his sister, Margaret Mary Scott, his son, Martin Lee, a nephew, Joe Scott, a niece Linda Scott, his grandson, Shawn and great granddaughter, Sedona. Memorial gifts in memory of Jack Sullivan can be made to St. Anthony's Tri Parish School or Central Wyoming Hospice.
