John Lund

John William (Bill) Lund - died June 18,2012. He was born 6-28-27 in Sidney Montana. Bill had a deep affection for the people of his home town. When Pearl Harbor was attacked he and his friends stood in line to enlist to serve their country. Bill enlisted in the Navy and was stationed in the Philippines during World War Il. He was married to Ruby Wyatt Lund, the love of his life for 64 Y2 yrs. He graduated from business school and spent most of his life working as an insurance claims adjuster and bookkeeper. Bill enjoyed reconditioning rifles and loading his own shells. He loved to hunt and fish and was a firm believer in protecting individual freedoms. Bill was best known for his infectious laughter, telling jokes and sharing stories around the coffee table with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Norwald (Nord) Nelson Lund & Charlotte Gwendolyn (Gwen) Loken Lund. Billis survived by his brother Ronald Dean Lund of Seattle, Wa.; his wife Ruby Wyatt Lund; daughter Cheryl Lund Penny of Casper, Wy. & son John Alan (Jack) Lund of Denver, Co.; grandson David Alexander McKenzie Jr. & spouse Patricia; granddaughter Ann McKenzie; great grandson Alexander Kenneth William McKenzie, "The twinkle of his eye." of Casper, Wy.; cousin Deborah Nelson & spouse Jim of Cheyenne, Wy. His final resting place will be in Sidney, Montana. At his request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to: Wounded Warrior Project, P.o.
