John Edward King, 69, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 5th, 2014, after a short battle with cancer in Casper, WY. John was born in Providence, Rhode Island, Oct. 4th, 1944 to Alice Dandineau and Jack King. He grew up in Rhode Island; joined the US army in 1961 and proudly served his country for three years. He lived a short time in Ohio before moving to Colorado. He moved to Casper, Wyoming and married Shirley Trolinder of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, July 25, 1981. John had a career as a truck driver. He worked for 11 years for Albertsons in Colorado and then retired after 15 years at North Park Transportation in Casper, WY, where he made friends wherever he delivered freight. He was a loving father and enjoyed being Pa-Pa to his grandchildren. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, working on cars, going to movies, and most of all spending time with the family, Pa-Pa always had fun with his grandchildren and spoiled them whenever possible. He is very loved and will be missed dearly. John is survived by his wife, Shirley; five children, Michelle (Danny) Grooms of Ohio, Brandon (Lisa) of Delaware, Chris (Lissa) of Colorado Springs, Mindy (Zeb) Timberman and Laura King of Casper, WY; and 13 grandchildren, Kellie, Angel, Stephanie, Courtney, Shannon, Caitlyn, Colby, Clayton, Dylan, Kirsten, Elyza, Ryland and Galvyn;•one great-grandson, Lucas and one expected soon, Kypton; his mother, Alice of Rhode Island; four brothers, George (Lorna) King, Larry(Barbara) King, Billy (Kelly) King and Johnny (Vel) King; as well as many much-loved nieces and nephews; neighbors; friends; and biker buddies. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack King, of Texas. A viewing will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home on Thursday, April 10th, from 5:00-7:30 pm. The services will be at 10:00AM on Saturday, April 12th, 2014.
