On Wednesday October 24, 2018, John Leroy Franklin, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 53. John was born on May 17, 1965 in Casper, WY to James and Mary Franklin. He received an associates degree in Construction Technology at Casper College. All of his working life he has been a dedicated general contractor. He started his own company; Franklin Construction, at the age of 21. He took a couple of breaks from his business. One break becoming the building and trades teacher for at risk teenagers. Following his retirement he met his wife Angie then moved to Canada, they were married October 9, 2011. He continued his love of woodworking, fishing, and painting. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, teacher, and mentor. John was survived by mother, Mary Franklin; Brothers David, Danny, and Gary; and sister Linda, wife Angie; children Jimmy, Kristen, and Kelly; grandchildren Shea, Braxton, and soon to arrive, baby Elway. As well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father James Franklin, brothers Mike and Ronny; and sister Deborah. The family has honored John's wishes to be cremated and later spread his ashes at Miracle Mile. A celebration of life Memorial Service will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home Monday October 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM with a reception to follow at Yellowstone Garage.
