John Stephen Bastian

John Stephen (Jack) Bastian, age 94, of Casper Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, October 20, 2020,  at 5:00am.  He was being cared for at Banner Health Center in Casper, following complications of Covid.

Jack was born in Longview Texas to Arthur and Mildred Bastian  on  June 28, 1929.  After high school graduation he worked for many years as an oilfield equipment salesman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  Jack was a Mason and spent many of his retirement years delivering meals on wheels to the “elderly”.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife of over 70 years.  They married January 31, 1949 in Longview  Texas.  During their married life they lived in several places in Texas, Montana, Oklahoma and the last 40 years in Casper Wyoming.

Jack is survived by his two children, Debra Smith (Husband Paul) and Jack Bastian Jr (wife Debbie),  Grandchildren Paul Sala (wife Christine), Jennifer Cornett (husband Alan), Cody Bastian, and 14 Great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service may be held in Casper in the future.
