Joe Ramirez

Memorial mass for Joe Ramirez Jr., 75, of Douglas, WY will be held at 1:00PM, on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Hill officiating. Joe passed away June 22, 2016 in Casper, WY. He was born in Hawk Springs, WY on November 2, 1940 to Joe and Susie Ramirez Sr., and was raised and educated in Torrington. Joe served in the United States Army and the National Guard. Joe worked and retired as a heavy equipment operator at the Rochelle Mine. He was previously the Business Agent of Operating Engineers Local 400. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, playing guitar and singing. Most of all, he loved spending time on his property in the mountains. Joe is survived by his children, Deena Ramirez Roche of Springfield, Oregon, Joseph "Sonny" Ramirez of Casper, Wyoming, Scott Ramirez of Casper, Wyoming; step children, Shana Collette and Chuck Carroll both from Florida. He was preceded by his parents and his wife, Ellen Ramirez as well as 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
