Joanne Carl

May 6, 1938 — October 6, 2016

Joanne Ziegler Carl passed away on October 6, 2016 at 4:46 PM. Her request was NO services and that she be cremated. She was born May 6, 1938 in Richey, Montana, to LeRoy Ziegler and Helen Schutt. It was the worst blizzard of the year. She loved the farm girl life. She and her brother rode the horses to school, the horses knew the way well. They loved their horses. When the country school closed they moved to Glendive and went back to the farm when school was out. Joanne married Dan Bowlds and was blessed with 3 great boys. Ten years later she married Warren Carl and had a girl; what a blessing. At age 50 they transferred to Craig, CO and from there they were transferred again to Casper, WY, then Dickenson, followed by Sidney and Gillette, WY and finally retired in Casper, WY. Joanne's great faith in God was a comfort in her years of sickness. She always wished she could be closer to her 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Joanne was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Claude; and son David Bowlds. She is survived by her husband, Warren Carl; brothers, Leighton (Karen) Ziegler of Billings, MT, Larry (Gwen) Ziegler of Glendive, MT; sister, Janice ( Bob) Weinberger of Salem, OR; children, Roger (Dalene) Bowlds of Bakerfield, CA, Brent (Brenda) Bowlds of Sidney, MT, and Jennifer (Shane) Conley of Casper, WY; 8 grandchildren, Justin Bowlds, Heidi Bowlds, Devin Bowlds, Shaelyn Bowlds, Shelby Bowlds, Amanda Chidgay, Tanner Conley, Kaitlin Conley; and 6 great-grandchildren. Joanne loved going to Sidney, MT to see relatives and great friends and loved going to the farm.
