JoAnn Grenier

Memorial services for JoAnn Grenier will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery Chapel. Inurnment will be at Oregon Trail. JoAnn Grenier, 81, passed away on October 23, 2010 at Shepherd of the Valley Care Center. An only child, she was born September 3, 1929 to Helen and Eugene Smith in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She graduated from Elk City High School in Elk City, OK in 1947. Her family moved to Moorcroft in 1948 where her father was an engineer on Keyhole Dam. JoAnn worked as a telephone operator until she married George Durand Greiner on November 4, 1951. They moved to Casper in 1965. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge and raising her four kids. She is survived by her husband, Durand, daughter, Deb Hirschman (Doug) of Sheridan, son, Dennis Grenier (Brigitta) of Cheyenne, son, Dale Grenier (Linda) of Worland, and daughter, Terri Honken (Doug) of Laramie, WY. JoAnn is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Donations may be made to Meals on Wheels in her memory
