Early Friday morning, February 23, 2018, Joan Marie Norman, 81, passed away to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 1 from 5-7 P.M. at Bustard's Funeral Home. Services will be held at Mountain View Baptist Church, Friday, March 2 at 11:00 A.M. with a celebratory fellowship following. While strolling along the riverside or walking the mall with her late husband, Jim Norman, she would not hesitate to greet a total stranger asking if they knew Jesus as their personal Savior. She always had a tract to hand out wherever she went. Joan was not afraid to spread the Good News. Joan was involved in many activities and groups namely: United Indian Missions, Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF),Youth for Christ, Good News Clubs, 5-Day Clubs, True Care, and Vacation Bible School. She and Jim volunteered at the Salvation Army during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Joan was an Election Judge at Westwood Elementary School and involved with the Wyoming Medical Center Auxiliary. Preceded in death was her spouse of 63 years, James Norman; brother, Clyde L. Miller, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK; and parents, Clyde and Florence (Dieter) Miller. Charitable contributions may be donated to the following: Child Evangelism Fellowship, United Indian Missions of Arizona, Youth for Christ, and Mountain View Building Fund. Throughout her life and her encounter with cancer, Joan will be remembered for her smile, optimism, and being a prayer warrior.
