Services for Joan (Suzie) Elaine Holmes Hoffman will be held at a later date. Cremation has been held. Mrs. Holmes, 68, passed away peacefully in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born May 10, 1942 in Las Vegas, NV. She grew up in Casper, WY, attending NCHS. She married Arthur B. Henry in 1958 and had two children, Ames Henry and Trisha Woodard. She married David J. Hoffman June 1, 1994. Suzie spent the happiest years of her life on the prairie with her husband, David, who she considered a "saint" and numerous pets she loved so very dearly. Suzie was active in protecting our planet and was an avid nature lover. She loved being home with her husband and animals after retiring from her career as a chef. She enjoyed listening to the birds, the Wyoming wind and the wildlife that always seemed to be attracted to her home and everything she planted in the soil on their 7 acres. She spent her life serving others and donating to the less fortunate; but cooking was her expertise and where she shined. She will forever be in our lives and in our hearts. She is survived by her husband, David, of Casper, brother, Clayton "Bushie" (Norina)Shields, brothers-in-law, Jack Hoffman (Joy) of Casper and Mark Hoffman (Penny) of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are her children, Ames Henry (Hazel) of Casper, Trisha Woodward (Tony) of Salt Lake City, UT, Joan Barker (Ben) of Maryland and Cindy Murray (Dean) of AZ; grandchildren, Cassie, Jonnie, Zade, Nicole, Tiffany and Christine, great grandchildren, Natalie, Alyssa, Oaklee, MacKenzie, Madison and Adrienne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice or the donor's favorite charity.
