Jerry Williams

December 31, 1933 — March 23, 2018

Jerry D. Williams, age 84, of Casper, passed March 23, 2018 at Wyoming Medical Center. He was born December 31, 1933 in Milfay, OK to Rolan O. Williams and Blanche L. Loveall. The Williams family moved to California when Jerry was 3 years old and sister, Mary Gayle, was 2. Jerry attended school in Folsom, CA - graduating in 1951. The Williams family had expanded to include sister Carol J. and brother Jack R. After graduating from Folsom High School Jerry enlisted in the US Marine Corp - attending boot camp at Camp Pendleton in Southern CA, with further training at Camp Lejeune, NC. He later deployed to Korea during the conflict. He also spent some time in Japan. He returned to the states, back to Camp Pendleton and was discharged in 1954. He then returned to Folsom, CA for a while. Jerry worked at various jobs, including oilfield, Aerojet, Ford Motor Company and then as a Mud Engineer with Fluids Control, Inc. in Evanston, WY. After the oilfield was a bust, he started his own company - Eco Recovery Systems in Evanston. Jerry met Judy Norskog in Farmington, NM and they were married on June 16, 1960 in Cody, WY. They lived in CA where they were joined by a beloved son Brad. Brad was the light of their lives. He graduated from Evanston High School in 1985 and was married in 1987 to Meschell Botkin. They added 2 beautiful girls to their family, Jessica Marie in 1993 and Alyssa Nicole in 1998. Jessica married Daniel Tyrel (Ty) Coursen on July 21st, 2013. They presented Jerry with his first great grandchild - Chet James Coursen on December 4th, 2017. Jerry was a Mason and a Shriner in Evanston. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. Most of all he loved his family. A public visitation will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. at Bustard's Funeral Home. A funeral service with Masonic rites will take place at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the funeral home, Chaplain Rob Peterson officiating. Burial with military honors accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard will follow at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, WY. The family asks that memorial contributions in Jerry's name be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
