Services for Jerry B. Carney will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Word Christian Fellowship Church. Viewing will be from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Interment will be at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard. Following the graveside service at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery, there will be a reception at the Eagle's Lodge, 306 No. Durbin, Casper, Wyoming. Mr. Carney, 74, died January 27, 2011 in Casper. He was born November 9, 1936 in Phoenix, AZ. He served 13 years with the USMC in Korea and Vietnam. He enjoyed collecting memorabilia of this service that he was proud to be a part of. He was blessed in life with four children, Cheryl, Terri, Diane and Greg, an angel of a wife, Peggy Carney and her children, Donna, Barbara and Greg. He is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jerry truly loved Wyoming; fishing, hunting and rock hunting. He spent many years making jewelry and belt buckles with the rocks he collected. He had seven brothers and sisters whom he and Peggy traveled to visit in California with stops at the casinos to try their luck.
