Jerry Brown

Jerry Robert Brown was born May 15, 1937 to Zelma P. and William M. Brown in Thermopolis, WY. He passed on Sunday March, 1 2015. Jerry had lived the last four years of his life at Life Care of Casper where he has received excellent care and treatment. Jerry enlisted in the Navy in November, 1955 where he was a ship's mechanic until his tour of duty ended in October, 1959. While home on his last leave before discharge, he married Betty May Dana on August 21, 1959. From that union came five children, Stephan (Robin) Brown, Russell (Lesa) Brown of Casper WY. Tammy Dennis) Hacker of Moab Utah, Carol (Kevin) Showers of Waldport, OR, and Gary Brown (deceased). Jerry worked many jobs, two of which were Judd Tire Supply in Casper WY where he was employed for 25 years. He worked for Barrick Goldstrike out of Elko, NV until he retired in June of 1999. Jerry is survived by four sisters and one brother, Wanda, Nancy, Delores all of Cody, Edna of Virginia, David of Elko, NV. Also surviving is his wife, Betty, sons, Stephan and Russell, daughters, Tammy and Carol, grandchildren, Shaunell, Megan, Dennis Jr., Melissa, Rebecca, Ryan, Robert, Andria, Michael, Kristen Nathan; great grandchildren, Kearra, Jennah, Kataleena, Justin, Kyra, Cody, Klay, Chaz, Maddie, Brentley, Payten, McKenna. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2015 at Church of God Prophecy Church with Pastors David Taylor and Ked Shroyer officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Navy Honor Guard. Inurnment will be at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery, Evansville, Wyoming.
