Services for Mr. Jerome Arthur Murray will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bustard's Funeral Home West Chapel. Interment will be at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Murray, 78, passed away December 16, 2011 at the Shepherd of the Valley Care Center. Jerome Arthur Murray was born August 31, 1933, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Roy Lee Murray and Genevieve Agnes Devaney. His family moved to Cheyenne when he was six. He grew up in Cheyenne and graduated from Cheyenne's Central High School. After high school he served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. His passion in life was music. He taught himself to play the guitar and as an adult he played professionally with various performers. In 1953 he married his childhood sweetheart, Glennice R. Deets. They were married for 58 years. In 1963 he started working for GAB Business Services as a catastrophe claims adjuster. After 35 years as an insurance adjuster he retired as a General Adjuster. Besides his love for music and his family he enjoyed golfing, hunting, camping and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Glennice, one sister: Genevieve Wyatt of Dixon Springs, TN; one brother David Murray of Lakewood, CO, four children: Miriam (Roger ) Pletan of Casper; Vivian (Dennis) Seville of Pine , AZ; Patricia Davis of Glendale, AZ ; and Theodore (Lisa) Murray of Casper; Six grandchildren: Candice (Stacy) Stevens of Casper; Daphne (Mike) Dugan of Colorado Springs, CO; Shannon Seville of Scottsdale, AZ; Jolene Seville of Placentia, CA; J Gilbert Davis III of Surprise, AZ; and Monica Seville of Scottsdale, AZ; and five great-grandchildren: Kason and Brekken Stevens of Casper; Preston Mocker and Isaac Dugan of Colorado Springs, CO; and J Gilbert Davis IV of Surprise, AZ.
