Funeral services for Mrs. J.L. (Jerry) Peterson, 88, of Casper, WY, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Bustard's Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 4:00PM-8:00PM also at Bustard's Funeral Home. Born on October 11, 1925 in Bloodland, MO, Jerry was born to Walter Williams and Emma Routh. She attended school in Mt. Pigah and graduated from Plato, MO. Soon after World War II her family moved to Casper, WY. Jerry married her husband, Edward S. (Bud) Peterson on July 1, 1950. Together they made a home for themselves and their daughter, Linda L. Tasler, in Casper, WY. Jerry worked for the Telephone Company and at Waldorf Café for many years. She later was a school crossing guard for 13 years, followed by Hostess for Greiner Ford for 11 years. She was also a was a member of Ladies of the Shrine Kheta Court #59 of Casper, Shepherd of the Valley Auxiliary, and the D.A.V. Auxiliary. Mrs. Peterson is survived by her daughter Linda L. Tasler of Casper, WY, three sisters; Henrietta Morton of Raytown, MO, Deanna Fulks of Pleasant hill, MO and Dee Hey of Albuquerque, NM; as well as 4 grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren and one Great great-grandchild. Preceding her in death was both of her parents and her beloved husband. Memorial contributions in Jerry's memory to Shriner's Hospital, Box 2222, Casper, WY 82602, would be appreciated by her family.
