Jeremy Conrad

Jeremy Roy Conrad, 21, returned home to his Lord on October 31, 2011. He passed away in Casper as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Jeremy was born at Wyoming Medical Center on September 22, 1990 to Clifford Conrad, Jr. and Jennifer Duncan (Conrad). Being a military child, he lived in many places in the United States, including Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where his brother Matthew Conrad was born; Eugene, Oregon where he played on his school's championship soccer team; and then Denver, Cheyenne and Casper. He was baptized and received the Lord, attended East High School and graduated from Triumph High School in 2009, all while residing in Cheyenne. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts in all of the places he lived. After graduation he returned to Casper where he joined the Navy Reserve, attended and graduated from Basic Training at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in November of 2009. He attended Construction Electrician Class ‘A' School with the Seabees at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. He then returned to Casper and attended Casper College studying Theater Performance. Among Jeremy's many loves, he had a passion for music that began when he performed with the Casper Children's Chorale and began playing the violin, both of which continued well into high school and college. His love of music ranged from musical theater to Led Zeppelin. Jeremy loved any and all kinds of music. He played the lead role in of Buddy in "The Diviners" his sophomore year of high school. He also performed in "Damn Yankees" and a musical tribute for the year end musical. He had a beautiful tenor voice and loved to sing to his step-sisters. Jeremy also had a love for the military. He was involved in many activities that were militarily based. He was an avid fan of the Colorado Rockies and New Orleans Saints. Jeremy expressed the desire to become a police officer in Casper and had expressed the desire to take examinations on December 6, 2011. Jeremy had a wonderful, sweet spirit, was brought to laughter easily and had a witty and dry sense of humor. His love and devotion to his family was unmatched, especially his friendship with his brother Matthew. Jeremy is survived by his parents, Jennifer Duncan (Conrad) and Clifford Hamlin Conrad, Jr.; his stepmother Jenn Conrad and stepfather Scott Duncan; his brothers Matthew and Cody, sister Caitlyn Joy all of Casper; step sisters Regina Duncan of Laramie and Amanda Duncan of Greeley, CO, Joyanne Knight of Denver, CO and step brother Nicholas Woolman of Valparaiso, IN. He is also survived by his grandparents James Copen, Sr. and Clarice (Lolly) Copen of Casper; Clifford Hamlin Conrad, Sr. and Mary Conrad of Pueblo, CO; Scarlett Ann Duncan of Casper; uncles Edward Conrad and his wife Amy and Vincent Conrad and his wife Kelly of Denver; and his aunt Crystal House of Denver, CO, James Copen, Jr. and his wife Sally of Anchorage, AK and Rob Copen and his wife Dixie of Riverton, WY,. He is preceded in death by his uncle William Frederick (Fred) Copen and his cousin Dawson McVeigh. He will be missed greatly. There is a hole in our hearts that only God can fill on this side of Heaven. Jeremy's life was brief, but significant and touched many lives. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Paradise Valley Christian Church, 188 Valley Drive, Casper, WY 82604 with a reception following. Inurnment will occur on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Oregon Trail Veteran's Cemetery in Evansville, WY.
