Jerry passed away at home on September 12, 2015 at 1:13 AM. He had been battling a worsening heart condition, which was going to include 11 days in the hospital. Friday he came home. His suffering ended at home, in his own bed, where he wanted to be. His death came quicker than expected, but a welcomed relief to his suffering. Jerry was born in Durango, Colorado on March 7, 1954 to Tom and Betty Marcotte (Hart). He had an older sister, and a younger sister. He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, and one Sister, as well as the Grandparents with whom he lived with in his formative years. His favorite Uncle preceded him in death in July. His family moved to Casper when Jerry was in Junior High where he attended Dean Morgan Junior High. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1972, and attended Chadron State College for two semesters. He started the iron work apprentice program in 1973, and did this work he loved for 15 years. In 1988, he started a water treatment plant operator program, which he completed in 1990. Jerry truly never met a stranger. Jerry had a zest for life, he always put his family first, but his passions included hunting, fishing, and most importantly shooting trap with his buddies around the country. Jerry had a story about everyone, the stories often became embellished with each telling, and he never ran out of jokes, however inappropriate they may be. His Doctors office visits usually started out with "what joke do you have for me?" Jerry met, and then married the love of his life, Donna, in the summer of 1979. Together they have two children, Drew and Sara (Cecil Teague) who have two children, Gunnar and Otto. Jerry will be extremely missed by all. All donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
