Jeffery Somers

Jeffery Bryan Somers, 55, of Casper, Wyoming, died Friday January 11, 2013. He was born to the late June Denslow, June 4, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan where he was adopted by the late Herman and surviving Peggy Somers. Jeff graduated from Redford Union High School in 1975. Shortly after graduating high school Jeff joined the US Navy attached to Fleet Hospital Corp and was honorably discharged in 1976. Once discharged he moved to Washington he, then graduated from Spokane Community College In 1986 with an Associate's in Biomed Technology. He later married Kathy Goold and began his Family With a Daughter Sara Louise and son Steven Keith during this time Jeff was reunited with his biological sister Paula Wasper , and brother Dan Young. He later moved to Casper Wyoming where he worked as a Bio Technician for Wyoming Medical Center for 15 years where he made many lifelong friends. Jeff "Misko" became an active member of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle club in 1992 and was a 20yr member. He was a member of the Natrona Country Darting Association. He enjoyed watching the Ultimate Fighting Championships with friends, hunting, and the great outdoors. Jeff is survived by his daughter, Sara Alton and her husband Nate, of Boise; his son, Steven Somers, of Boise; his brother, Dan Young, of Houston; his sister, Paula Wasper, of Brea, Cali.; his sister Debra Burbank-Somers, of Livonia, Mich; his mother, Peg Somers, of Redford, Mich; as well 9 nieces and nephews and all of his brothers in the VNV/LV MC In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Jeff Somers Memorial Fund with VNV/LV MC, P.O. BOX 1423 Casper WY 82602, so that he may impact his future grandchildren (whom he was looking forward to spoiling someday). A celebration of life will be held at the VFW on Bryan Stock Trail Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
