Memorial services for Mr. Jeffery Campbell Bond Sr., 71, of Casper, WY, will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, May 13, 2016, at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Army National Guard and the Natrona County United Veterans Council. Mr. Bond passed away May 4, 2016 in Casper, WY. Jeffery was born on June 10, 1944 in Portsmouth, VA, to Catherine Campbell and Robert Bond. He joined the United States Army and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He served in the Corps of Engineers, receiving a Bronze Star. After his service in the army he went on to finish his education at the Colorado School of Mines, graduating in 1971. Jeffery then married the love of his life Carolyn Richardson on December 19, 1971 in Denver, CO. The couple settled in Casper, Wyoming and he began a successful career as an Engineer with Schlumberger that lasted over 25 years. People that knew him would describe him as absolutely selfless. He volunteered for search and rescue and was a long time platelet donor. He also enjoyed time in the great outdoors and was an avid backpacker. Jeffery found great joys and success in all of his professional and personal endeavors but nothing brought more happiness to his life than becoming a father to Christine and Jeffery Jr; and later a grandfather. Surviving Jeffery is his adoring wife of 44 years, Carolyn; his daughter Christine (Cade Andrew) Maestas of Lander, WY; son Jeffery (LeeAnn) Bond of Casper, WY; grandchildren Gabriella, Alexander, and Annika Maestas of Lander, WY and Elliott and Oliver Bond of Casper, WY; as well as his sisters Cathy Sayers and Lorelie Bond; and his brother Robert Bond Jr.. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice. Bustard's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
