"Jed's time seems short to those of us he left behind. A life lived fast, he passed through this world in the blink of an eye. He burned so bright, like the sun on a hot summer day. A day filled with wild laughter and a reckless love of life. His ever present smile a constant companion that warmed the earth and quickened the spirit. His untamed energy could leave you exhilarated or exhausted. He truly lived in the moment, carefree and spontaneous, with a childlike joy that never faded away. Wild and free to the end, he had no time for sorrow. But Like the sudden onset of an noontime storm, there were moments of darkness in his life, when rain fell like tears, and the thunder and lightening shook the earth. But as the grey clouds cleared Jed's light would always prevail. He would continue on his course, unhindered like the sun, to illuminate a life that was short on toil but full of fun and heavy with mischief. He warmed our hearts and his fire will cast long shadows across the endless fields of our memories. So many moments we will never forget. He will certainly live on through us. But every summer day must end as eyes grow tired and the sun starts to set, painting the sky with brilliant colors, a beauty that takes our breath away in silent contemplation. As Jed's sun sets and the stars start to shine, the light he once cast is reflected on the silvery moon, and like a ghost he walks with us in the dark of the night where lonely wolves bay and stealthy beasts hunt. After every night is a new dawn and like the sun he will rise again. He left behind his loving parents, Bill and Suzette Cole, who persevered through the highs and the lows but were to tough to give up. His only brother , Deva Rosenberger, will someday feast with him in Valhalla, but for now remains to raise a drink in his honor as does his sister in law Laura and his two nieces, Alana and Mia, who laughed with him and at him on many occasions. He also leaves behind his Grandmothers, June Spaniol and Virginia Cole in addition to many other family members and friends, ladies he loved and vagabond creatures of all types that he befriended and charmed on his journey. He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers Wayne Cole and Palmer Spaniol, his uncle Larry Spaniol and his aunt and friend Joanne Rosenberger. A warm welcome surely awaits him as our ancestors celebrate his arrival. Walk with us Jed and watch over our journeys until we meet again."
