Jean Ewing

The families of Jean Ewing mourn her passing August 11, 2012 at Poplar Living Center. Jean was born to Ada and Dave Dewey in Custer County Nebraska on August 25, 1920. The family homesteaded near Gillette, Wyoming and then settled outside of Riverton in 1935. Jean graduated from Shoshoni High School in 1937. She married.Robert Howard Ewing May 6, 1938 in Riverton, Wyoming. Mrs. Ewing had lived in Casper for 54 years and enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, Bingo, fishing and watching sports on television especially Tiger Woods and the Broncos. She loved her bedroom patio doors on the hill where she always looked for the college lights, her birds and flowers. She is survived by three daughters, Bobbie Harrington and Janice Lott of Casper, Wyoming and Judy Johnson of Fort Collins, Colorado; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert Ewing, her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. Viewing will be from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Interment will follow after the service at the cemetery.
