Jay Logan Curfew

September 25, 1949 — November 10, 2023

Jay Logan Curfew age 74 of Casper WY died on November 10, 2023, after a brief illness.

Jay was born in Montrose Co September 25th of 1949 to Jay E Curfew and Zelma Johnston they later had another son Danny Curfew then moved to Vernal UT this is where Jay got a new stepdad named Leonard Chrisman, Jay would later say his stepdad was more like his real father. This is where Jay’s little sister Malinda Harris completes the family unit. They later moved to Fort Morgan for a brief time then one final move to Casper WY where Jay attended Natrona County High School and graduated class of 1969.

He went on to follow his love for cars working in an auto repair shop industry and would do this kind of work for the next 40 years. May family and friends have lots of stories about Jay restoring some kind of worn-down vehicle to into something great.

Jay met and married Cindy Black and had two daughters Shawna Parshall (Cannon City Colorado) in 1976 then Stacy McClean (Casper Wyoming) in 1979. Jay then married Barbra Patterson for a brief while. This seemed to be a period where his relationship with the lord would strengthen. They say the third times a charm it was in Jay’s case. He would finally meet and marry the love of his life Sharon Curfew on March 24th of 2007 with this godly union came three stepchildren, Crystal Carpenter (Casper, Wyoming) Aaron Collins (Casper, WY) and Matthew Collins (Williston, North Dakota).

Jay had a great love for family and God. Many times he said God is who gave him everything in life with praise.  He loved to go fishing and camping and would often tell lots of stories about doing that with his stepdad, when spending time with Aaron.  Jay was a very loving religious man. Jay would say that his vacation to Costa Rica was his favorite time, watching the sun set and the turtles on the ocean. I believe at that moment his eyes sparkled!

Jay is survived by his Wife Sharon Curfew, Brother Danny Curfew, Sisters Melinda Harris. He is also survived by his daughter’s Shawna Parshall and Stacy & Pat McClean and his stepchildren, Chris & Crystal Carpenter, Aaron Collins, Matthew Collins and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
