Janet was born in Worland, Wyoming on March 23, 1952, the daughter of Ken and Rosalee Pavey. She passed away in Brush, Colorado on September 7, 2016. Our family lived in Worland, WY until 1962, when we moved to Casper, WY. In 1972 Janet graduated "with distinction" with an Associates of Arts from Casper College. In 1974, Janet graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Elementary Education. In 1975 she was selected Young Career Woman by Worland's Business and Professional Women's Association, while teaching in Worland school district. She was formerly employed by the Casper Police Department for 7 years. Janet enjoyed collecting house plants and photos and read a variety of materials. Janet has a very special love for children, family, and friends. Janet loved special cards from friends and family. Her favorite place to visit was the Big Horn Mountains at Dyer's Cabin with family and special friends. She enjoyed animals and in particular her pet dog "Mimi". For years she collected teddy bears of all sorts and recently started collecting glass crosses and angels. At Christmas Janet decorated with special nativity scenes and decorations she saved carefully to display at her most special time of the year. Janet is survived by her sister, Sandy Mosier of Casper, WY; brother, Bob (Vickie) Pavey; two nephews, Matt (JoEllen) Pavey and John (Kari); her two great nephews, John and Kari's son's, Trevore and Teven Pavey all of Kaycee, WY. Janet is also survived by Guy and Virginia Stroud of Centennial, Colorado and Kelly and Phillip Ferguson of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosalee Pavey in 1984; and dad, Ken Pavey in 1998.
