Janet Elizabeth Schwarz Julian passed away suddenly on September 12, 2015 in Casper, Wyoming. Janet was born December 27th, 1941 in Lovell, WY to William and Marie (Winterholler) Schwarz. Soon after she was born her family moved to Casper, WY where she was raised and educated. She attended Park Elementary, Dean Morgan Jr High, and graduated from NCHS in 1960. In 1961 she married Eddie Summerford and had two children, Dawn Summerford-Stewart and Michael Summerford. In the early sixties she worked for First National Bank, Provident Federal Savings & Loans and Hilltop National Bank. For several years she and Eddie moved around the US quite extensively living in states from Idaho to Mississippi. They made their way back to Casper in 1970 and she went back to work for Hilltop National Bank. She soon was Vice President of Installment Loans. Janet would say the most rewarding part of her career was lending and helping people to achieve their dreams. She got to be part of many families acquiring their first home and many small business getting off the ground. Janet took the opportunity to attend the Colorado School of Banking in Boulder to better herself in her career. She was chosen to serve on the National Consumer Credit Executive Committee for the ABA, and National Consumer Credit School Advisory Board. She was Chair-woman of the National Consumer Credit Conference in New Orleans. Her Career with Hilltop lasted 37.5 years which she retired from 2009. On November 1, 1978 she married the love of her life Gary W. Julian. With this relationship she gained two more wonderful daughters, Stacie Julian and Leslie (Paul) Fritzler. Gary and Janet loved the outdoors and spent much of their time traveling, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and golfing. One of Janet's true passions was playing Bridge. She was also a member of many bridge clubs, sometimes playing two or three times a week. If she wasn't playing bridge with the ladies, you could find her at home playing bridge on the computer. Above all of these things Janet loved her family dearly and would do all within her power to give them the world. Her love for them was unending and absolutely unconditional. Janet is survived by her husband, Gary; daughter Dawn; son, Michael; step-daughters Stacie and Leslie; her beloved grandchildren, Danielle (Shawn) Stewart-Reed, Katie Dooling, Cameron Summerford, Rachel and Drew Fritzler all of Casper; Her sister Shirley Herstein of Casper; brother Bill (Laurie) Schwarz of Atlanta, GA and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy and Kris; and a niece and nephew. Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm, on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Highland Park Community Church with Pastor Tami Rudkin officiating. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to Vision Outreach Services: Montgomery Trust Fund for The Blind to help provide resources locally for the Vision impaired.
