He was born January 15, 1925 at WMC then called Memorial Hospital of Natrona County to James Bransford Sr. and Leona (Blauer) Sisco. He split his time growing up in both Casper where he attended local schools and Thermopolis with his Aunt, Uncle and many cousins. He enjoyed Thermopolis and their ranching way of life. Jim's life was abruptly interrupted with the bombing of Pearl Harbor and at the age of 16, he enlisted into the USMC. He served in the Pacific Theater in Guadalcanal, Soloman Islands, and Samoa. He also served on the USS California while it sat at the bottom of Pearl Harbor. His job was to aid in her resurrection. Before his discharge in 1945, he met his bride and lifelong companion and friend Gloria in Oakland and they were married Dee 20, 1944 and remained inseparable until her death in 2011. He hated big city life and he moved his family back to Casper where he worked for Kistler Tent and Awning and then Natrona County School District as Supervisor for the Custodial Department overseeing all of Natrona County Schools. He retired in 1985. He loved History, particularly Wyoming and had many stories to tell-most probably true. He loved fishing Wyoming's' waters with his son James III, listening to Wyoming football and basketball and his family. His quick wit and humor will be missed by all that knew him. Jim was preceded in death by both parents, his brothers Justin and Leonard, his aunt Eva and Uncle Bryan Ramsey, numerous cousins and his wife Gloria. He is survived by his son and daughters Carol Sisco, Casper, Dr. Shirley Tastad, Cherrylog, Ga, James Bransford Sisco III, Casper and Felicia Sisco, Casper, five grandsons and five great grandchildren.
