James Anthony Rodrigues, 47, left this earth March 12th 2020. He passed away in hospice surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born October 10th 1972 in Anderson, Indiana to Marjorie and Emmitt Rodrigues. On January 31st 2020, he married his soulmate Jamie (Danny) Rodrigues, who survives.
He was a family man who always enjoyed laughs and a good time. He worked so hard his whole life to provide for his kids and family and ensure they were well taken care of. He was a heavy equipment operator, and had bad shoulders, but refused to get them worked on because he could never justify spending money on himself. He loved to gamble and was an absolute shark on the pool table. He loved his children and his wife more than life and always kept his family and close friends near and dear to his heart. He was always goofy and smiling and hardly had serious moments. He was always spunky and full of life and love. He loved to laugh and see others happy and wanted everyone to rise up together in the world. He was an amazing father, grandfather, husband, friend, uncle, and brother. He loved his beer and his black velvet, even though nobody else did, and even when he was wrong he would always find a way to make it right. He loved being outside and active, and loved to grill out. He unified his family every sunday for family dinner night to keep his family close and held together after his sister Tomasa passed away on March 16th 2019, almost a year to the date before his passing. He had such a big heart and gave so freely, without ever expecting anything in return, and when he was returned with kindness he was so humbled and grateful. He always lived every day to the fullest and never took any moment for granted, and will forever be remembered by anyone who knew him as the most amazing man to walk the face of this earth.
He is survived by his wife, Jamie (Danny) Rodrigues, and their 10 children: Erika, Manuel, Jamon, Cassandra, Ezekiel, Kristina, Randall, Mariah, Mason, and Peter, and also his 5 grandchildren: Damien, Demari, Jon, Jayla, and Jayce.
His ashes will be spread May 23rd 2020 at 2pm at Estes Park in Colorado, his favorite place on earth. There will be a short memorial service, and everyone present will have their chance to speak a memory and say a final good bye before his ashes are spread. May he rest peacefully in heaven knowing he no longer has to live in pain, and watch over us as our guardian angel with his sister. Tony and Tomasa, we know you're raising hell up there, and we know you're re-united at last. To the moon and back our Angels!
