James Pratt

Services for James W. Pratt, 77, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Assembly of God Church in Glenrock with Pastor Cleaties Jeffcoat officiating. Private interment will take place at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Pratt passed away August 4, 2012 at his home in Glenrock. He was born May 11, 1935 in Lorain, Ohio, the son of Birney J. and Esther (Williams) Pratt. He was educated in Lorain. Mr. Pratt was in the U. S. Army from 1953 to 1956, serving in Germany. He received a Sharpshooter Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He married Barbara Pratt on August 5, 1966. He worked for Pacific Power in maintenance. He enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting, fly-tying and RVing. He loved feeding his wild birds. Mr. Pratt belonged to the Glenrock Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his sons, Scott Pratt and Richard Pratt of Glenrock, and his daughter, Taphie Pratt of Casper. He is also survived by his sister, Lenore McNutt of Avon Lake, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Linda Colisby and two grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God Church in Glenrock or the Glenrock Senior Center.
