James Kington

March 29, 1927 — February 12, 2019

James F. (Jim) Kington James F. (Jim) Kington passed away on February 12, 2019 at his home in Casper. Jim was born March 29, 1927 in El Dorado, Kansas to Thomas and Bernice Kington. He was the youngest of 3 children. Shortly after he was born, the family moved to Fort Scott where he grew up. Jim served in the US Navy in WWII and graduated from the University of Missouri. Jim met Sue Swain and they married on November 7, 1953 in Fort Scott, Kansas. After the wedding, they moved to Bartlesville, Ok where he was employed by Phillips Petroleum as a landman. He worked for Phillips for 35 years and lived in several states before retiring in Casper. Jim enjoyed golf, Dallas Cowboys, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of his greatest joys was helping at the Fireside while socializing. His humor will be greatly missed. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elaine and Martha, wife Sue and granddaughter Amanda Dobrasevic. He is survived by daughters Kathy Dorn (Dave Matula) of Casper, Karen (Slavko) Dobrasevic of Peoria, AZ, grandchildren Brandon (Bailey) Dorn, Garrett Dorn, James Dobrasevic and great grandchildren Kayden and Kamden. Viewing will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Bustard's Funeral Home with services at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 S Wilson or Casper Humane Society, 849 East ‘E' Street, Casper, WY.
