Jacqueline Helen Volk passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 at her home in Casper, Wyoming. She was born in Laramie, Wyoming on August 13, 1929 to the late Alma Marie and W. M. "Jack" Wymore. She and her younger brother, Dick, enjoyed spending their time between Laramie and their family's ranch outside of Centennial, Wyoming. She attended school in Laramie and graduated Salutatorian from Laramie High School. From there she attended the University of Wyoming and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. While living in Laramie, she was also an active member of Job's Daughters and played the piano at Trinity Lutheran Church. On August 28, 1951, she married the late Arthur C. Volk. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Delaware and Denver for Art's engineering career. They moved to Casper in 1955 and Jackie worked for Raymond Whitaker who was an attorney at the time. After that, she became a full time homemaker. She was an active member of the Casper Service League, an auxiliary member of the Casper Mountain Ski Patrol and loved being involved in various social groups, including being a "Rotary Ann" while Art was a member of the Rotary Club of Casper. Her favorite pastime was playing bridge. She was in many bridge clubs over the years through which she developed many wonderful life long friends. Their family traveled extensively and she enjoyed spending time with her family most of all. Jackie is survived by her daughters, Kathy Goulet, Kristine Halbrook and Lauren Griffith; her grandsons, Warren Haygood, Kellan, Kristopher and Kameron Halbrook and granddaughters, Melissa Haygood and Beau Griffith. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Casper, Wyoming at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 24, 2012 with a reception to follow.
