Jaclyn Marie Morton was born on August 3, 1980, in Casper, WY, to very proud parents Theodore W. and Donna Brause Morton. She died suddenly on March 9, 2018, at home from complications following knee surgery she had on February 27. She attended Mountain View Elementary and Dean Morgan Junior High School. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1998. She then attended Casper College and the University of Wyoming. Jackie was the office manager at NOV Wellbore Technologies where she met her extended family. She was a valued team leader. There weren't very many sports Jackie didn't try. She liked golf, and like many members of her family, she was a "certified" hacker. She was an avid bowler with several 600 Series' to her name; she was a long-time member of the Fireball 500 Club Board of Directors. She LOVED playing volleyball! Jackie was also a "patron" of the arts. She attended several of the Artisan Alley Painting Parties. She would say it doesn't get much better: trying to paint and getting to drink wine at the same time. She also exposed family members to "The Arts" by organizing trips to Denver to attend Beauty and the Beast and Grease. It actually turned out to be a great time! Jackie was very proud of her entire family; but, especially her sister, Jaime Moler; nephew, Kaleb Moler; niece, Kielei Moler; and niece, Haley Moler, her little mini-me. She and Jaime were so close one would wonder at times if they didn't share the same heart. Jackie attended a lot of Kaleb, Kielei, and Haley's sporting events; often times coaching them in whatever the current sport was, helping them to be the best that they could be. Jackie made friends as easy as most people breathe; it's no wonder, she had a smile that would light up the room. She is leaving behind so many broken hearts. We will have a "Jackie Celebration of Life" on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Black Gold Grille, 1650 English Avenue, from 4:30 to 7:00 pm, to share memories and love to help us get through this. Jackie leaves behind her parents; sister, Jaime (Willie) Moler; nephew, Kaleb Moler; niece, Kielei Moler; niece, Haley Moler; grandmothers, Joan Morton and Margaret Sterner; uncle, John "Dan" Morton; aunt, Renae (Mitch) Berlinger, aunt, Sheryl Morton; as well as Great Uncles, a Great Aunt, and many cousins. She is preceded in death by grampa, John L. Morton; uncles, John "Rabbit" Bunney and Bob Brause; paternal and maternal great-grandparents. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Casper Humane Society, Pet Ring Foundation, or charity of choice will be appreciated.
