Jackie "Bruce" Spelts, known by most as "Bruce", passed away peacefully in his home on January 06, 2018, at age 59. Bruce was born July 22, 1958 in Sterling, Colorado to Wilbur and Chloe (Sturdivan) Spelts. He graduated in 1977 from Aurora Central High School (CO). He married Linda Lammers (Spelts) on July 7, 2007, taking on the role of father and provider of Crystal Davison and Austin (Davison) Spelts. Throughout his work history, Bruce maintained a strong work ethic, always gaining more experience to better himself. He strived to better himself in his profession by getting more experience and education. He enjoyed being the best he could be for himself and his family. Bruce worked in the oilfield health and safety profession. He received a Certificate of Achievement from Aurora Technical Center, in May 1978. He attended Western Nebraska Community College (Sidney) and obtained a certificate in Aviation Maintenance in 1990. Bruce had setbacks due to injuries from past employment however he managed to work through them. Bruce will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and devilish chuckle. He enjoyed life by riding his Harley, fishing, hunting, and 4 wheeling with family. He loved the old Hot Rods, took pride in restoring his (father's) Chevy Blazer and dedicating it to his father's memory (R.I.P. Wilbur F. Spelts). Bruce enjoyed attending Ducks Unlimited functions, which was always a good time. He was blessed numerous times with winnings. In recent years, Bruce kept his hands and mind busy through crocheting and leather working and tinkering. He took great pride in knitting scarves and giving them away. Bruce was somewhat of a collector, he couldn't have just one of something, Bruce had to have twenty. Bruce was a member in the Elks Lodge, Sons of Confederate, and Veterans Camp #2104. Jackie Bruce Spelts was preceded in death by; his Mother Chloe Spelts/Miller, Wray, CO; Father Wilbur F. Spelts, Casper, WY; both sets of Grandparents; Sister Barbara Ellen Rudy, Denver, CO; and Aunt Opal and Uncle Beanie Palmer, Aurora, CO. He is survived by Linda Spelts of Casper, WY who remained a vital part of his life; Son, Austin Spelts, Casper, WY; Step Daughter Crystal Davison, Driggs, ID; Sister Vicky Sharp, Wray, CO; Brother Jim (Trish) Rudy, Denver, CO; Sister Brenda (Sam) Tomoi, Greeley, CO; Nephew Jimmy (Brandy) Sharp, Pine Haven, WY; Niece Marcy(Matt) Brown(Matt)Brown and Nephew Beanie Prentice, Wray, CO; Niece Ruby (Scott) Kitchen; and numerous other family members and friends who are of equal importance. A memorial service will be held on January 13, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Bustards Reception Hall, 632 CY Avenue in Casper, Wyoming.
