Jackie Samford

Eunice "Jackie" Plessman Samford passed away in peace on the evening of June 9, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Casper, at the age of 81. Jackie was born August 25, 1936 in Casper, Wyoming to Fred Dooley and Lula Dooley. Jackie graduated from Natrona County High School in 1955. Aside from a short time in Texas, Mills has always been home for Jackie where she has resided near loving family and friends. She married Edward M. Plessman on May 9, 1956, who preceded Jackie in death on July 13, 1975. Jackie later married James O. Samford on August 3, 1978, who preceded Jackie in death on November 24, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her older brother, William Dooley. Jackie enjoyed working at several locations including Willie's Dairy, Wagon Wheel Roller Rink, Rocky Mountain Power, Hutsell's Pay-N-Save, PDM Steel, Albertsons Grocery, and the Natrona County School Lunch Program. Jackie's dedication to serving others was always appreciated by friends and family. Her caring spirit and selfless actions touched many lives who will always cherish her. Jackie found joy in dancing, cooking, playing games, and working in the yard. She had a passion for country music, four square dancing, traveling, camping and fishing. She is survived by her two sons, William and Donald Plessman; three sisters, Betty Hurley, Lula Vang and Clara Marshall; four grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many other close family members and friends, all of whom love and dearly miss Jackie. Visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, June 18, 2018 with Funeral Services starting at 10:00 A.M. at Bustard's Funeral Home with internment at Memorial Gardens following the funeral service. Following Jackie's generous example, in lieu of flowers contributions in Jackie's memory can be made to the Salvation Army and Food Bank.
