Jack Williams

Jack L. Williams Sr. 64, went to be with our Lord on September 13, 2013 after fighting a courageous battle with Lung & Liver Cancer for 14 months. He was born on March 9, 1949 in Craig, Colorado but lived most of his life in Casper, Wyoming. He met the love of his life Karen Searcy and married her on August 9, 1965. They were married for 48 years and had three children, Michele, Lisa and Jack Jr. all of Casper. Jack attended schools in Casper and went to college in Bakersfield, CA and obtained a degree in Heavy Equipment. Jack worked for Operating Engineers, Thatcher and Son's, Texaco Refinery, All American Home Center and then worked 25+ years for Natrona County School District as a "Jack" of All Trades. Jack was known to work for Chocolate. His love for Chocolate was unsurpassed. Jack enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, playing card games, chess and was a vessel of useless information and a master story teller. He always had a great story or joke to tell. He was a past member of the Korien Temple in Rawlins, past member of Eastern Star Fort Casper #4, past member of the Masonic Independence Rock Lodge 56. Jack was survived by his wife Karen and his three children Michele Bridgewater (Just Bob), Lisa Engebretsen (Merritt), Jack Jr. (Debra), Brother George R. Williams (Regine), Sister Lenora Miller, Sister Marianne Wamhoff (Dale), Step Father Ernest C. Snell, and his grand children, Stefan & Kyra Bridgewater, Jessica & Christopher Novotny, Madison, Sean & Taylor Williams, and his beloved dogs Scruffy & Ralphie. Jack was preceded in Death by his mother Marguarite Snell and father George E. Williams. Jack will be sorely missed from the entire family, all of our lives will be darker with him gone. Services will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home, 600 CY Ave., Casper WY on Tuesday September 17th at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family requests that memorials in Jack's name be made to Rocky Mountain Oncology The Angels Program 6501 E. 2nd St Casper, WY 82609
