Jack Garner

Jack Darwood Garner went to be with Jesus on May 15, 2013. Mr. Garner passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident. Jack was born in North Platte, Nebraska to Noland and Pauline Garner on May 11, 1927. His family moved to Casper, WY in 1929 where he grew up and graduated from NCHS. He joined the Nave and after his discharge moved back to Casper and married Joann Northup and they had three daughters. They later divorced and he married Mary Johnson. He retired from the Amoco Refinery. Jack was a member of Word Christian Fellowship. Jack loved to travel, square dance, camp and volunteer to help the Shriners. He is survived by three daughters, Ann (Richard Sims), Melinda Marsh, April Feakell; two grandsons, Joseph Holladay, James Holladay and one granddaughter, Jill Fiske. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolen and Pauline Garner; sister, Shirley A. Day, brother, William Garner, Jr. (Mary) and grandson, Jeremy Holladay. Services will be held at Oregon Trail Veteran's Cemetery at 1:30PM, Monday, May 20, 2013, with Pastor Dan Carlin officiating. A reception will follow the service at the Shrine Club.
