Irvin Braunberger

January 30, 1925 — October 24, 2012

Irvin "Irv" Braunberger, loving Husband and Father, age 87 passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Casper, WY on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Irv was born in McClusky, ND on Jan 30, 1925 to Ludwig and Maggie Braunberger. He graduated from McClusky High School in 1942. He then enlisted in the Navy and served aboard a Light Cruiser the U.S.S. Miami. After his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Jamestown, ND and opened the first TV Repair Shop. Irvin's sister Verna introduced him to Jean her friend. Jean then worked with Irvin at a restaurant he managed in Eldridge N.D., where they fell in Love. He married Jean Eleanor Otto, the love of his life, at the home of Jake and Judy Braunberger on December 13th 1953. In 1960, they moved to Casper, WY where their home has been ever since. He worked for Sears Roebuck in Casper as a TV and Appliance repairman until his retirement in 1986. Family was everything to him; they spent many years camping, hunting and fishing together. Irvin loved to tinker, always busy inventing or building something. He loved to make sausage, gardening, cooking, music from the Big Band era and old westerns. He was a life long Green Bay Packers fan. If anyone needed help with anything, Dad would always help with his gentle and kind spirit. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Jean Braunberger; brother, Jake (Judy) Braunberger, of Jamestown, ND; children, Debbie Songe, Tammy (Randy) Patricelli, Michael (Juli) Braunberger, all of Casper; five grandchildren, Christopher Songe, Colby (Ashley) Patricelli, Clay (Ivana) Patricelli, Jesse Patricelli; six great- grand children all of Casper; many nieces; nephews and friends who loved him. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Taylor Songe, Casper; sisters, Alma Bauer, Bismarck, ND, Lorraine Torrence, Ridgeway, IL, Deloris Roush, Whitefish, MT, Verna Luer, Jamestown ND and Betty Lou Roth, Swissville PA and a brother, Rueben Braunberger, Great Falls MT. Irvin touched many lives during his life; he was loved by all and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Irvin's life will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, Casper, Wyoming.
