Funeral services for Ilene Phillips Peck will be held at Bustards & Jacoby Funeral Home on June 30, 2023, at 2 pm with reception to follow at the Elks Club.
She died June 12th, 2023 at Meadow Winds Assisted Living.
Born August 6, 1937 in Fort Collins, Colorado, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Bessie (Cline) Phillips. The family moved to Casper in 1953 and she attended her last two years of high school at Natrona County High School, graduating in 1955.
Following graduation, she worked for Wyoming Automotive for four years, and then for U.S. Geological Survey from 1960 until 1963. She commenced working for Federal Aviation, in 1964, retiring in August 2002 with 41 years of Federal service, all of which was served in Casper.
She was previously married to Lee E. Draney and Donald D. Siegmund. She married Jack L. Peck in Casper, September 19, 1970. He preceded her in death September 3, 1994.
She belonged to several organizations, including: BPO DOES. Drove #38, serving as Treasurer, President and then secretary of the drove for many years; National Association for Retired Federal Employees (NARFE); Federal Women's Program; Red Hat Society; Casper Snow Gypsies Snowmobile Association; Casper Women's Connection, Casper Mountain Forest Stewardship Association; Tate Geological Museum Supporter, and Profits Unlimited Investment Club. Her interests included: traveling (especially to foreign countries), camping, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and spending time at the family cabin on Casper Mountain. She also enjoyed attending Casper College plays and Stage III Community Theatre performances.
Survivors include son Donald (Veronica Mason) Siegmund of Mills, WY; Diana (Marlan) Johnson of Casper, WY; stepdaughter, Rhonda Elliott of Chandler, AZ; and stepson, Jack Peck and his wife, Lynn, of Chandler, AZ; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, nieces Amy Bryant and Mary Burrous, and brothers Marion (Anne) Phillips, Lee Phillips, and an infant brother, sisters Donna (Ken) Avey, and Betty Harris; son Mark Draney; and her dear friend and companion, Robert Hede.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Casper Humane Society.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home.
